There are 9 million people in the United Kingdom who have no pension at all, perhaps relying on the state to fund their retirement. A survey revealed that two thirds of us to estimate the state pension at £ 180 per week, when in reality it is more like half of that amount and that is assuming you have paid into the system. Currently, you must have paid NI contributions for 42 years if your man and 36 years if you are a woman. Many people do not realize that and get so much less than the basic pension.

If you can earn a living doing something you enjoy for a few hours a week, there is no need to say goodbye to your retirement dreams. Earning as little as  £ 5,000 per year is equivalent a £ 100K pot in your retirement.
