Hi, According to the ASX website: "A company is classified either in the energy sector GICS (1st level) or CPG and metal mining (3rd level) drops in the index of appropriate resources. All other remaining stocks fall in Industrials index appropriate. To help you understand what this means, the GIC is the Global Industry Classification Standard was developed Morgan Stanley Capital International and Standard and Poor's. GICS classifies each action in all sectors 1 to 10 (there are also many sub-sectors in each sector). The 10 sectors are: energy and material consumption / labor industrial Consumer Discretionary Consumer Staples Health care / Passive Financial Information Technology Services Telecommunications Utilities Therefore, based on the information sector and the definition on the site ASX, First Industrial on the Australian Stock Exchange can be defined as actions which are considered material / labor, consumer discretionary, Consumer Staples, Healthcare / liabilities, finance, information technology, telecommunications services or utilities within the GICS.
